I have always liked the idea of having a catch can for the engine breather mod, so finally got around to doing it. Some people say a catch can is not nessesary. But if that is so, why would they even run a drain hose at all? The way I see it, if you don't need a catch can, why not just leave the port wide open and unconnected to anything? Just my opinion. I actually think this set up like this looks good on the bike.

because of the Water condensat.... i still cant find any oil coming out but some Waterdrops ...

The whole breather re-route thing to me is a bit of a mystery. I did this to my bike last year and did a 150 mile or so ride and had a very small amount of something in the bottom of it, maybe a 1/4 of a teaspoon at best. Have not had anything in it since. Never even had to drain it. So I'm not sure if its really helping or doing anything on my bike.

And I agree vetch, kinda looks cool [up]

Like. For me the same, I have a friend that takes a 30 mile ride and his catch can is filled. I think when it is like that there is a more serious problem, and a catch can is making you feel good about it.

Not so much!

:p

Squidbuellie, I checked to confirm all such clearances when deciding on the mounting positions of both the catch can and its filter. You may not be able to pick up on it in he photos, but the filter is not oriented directly forward, but rather rotated slightly to the left side. Tested by rolling the bike forward and quickly hitting the front brake in an attempt to simulate full front suspension compression. The nearest clearance is not at full right steering lock but rather at partial right turn. All is good though. Appreciate your thoughtfulness and concern.

Started to pull the motor to do the 12 crank swap into my 9

Cr clubmans thanks to njdevils1990
With the precision engineering slim line risers

Those cables were a pain to reroute. But I finally got them. 2 days of messing with it to get them right. Glad it's done. I just have to bleed the brake.

I have them and love them. Had cross roads on my old XB and like the CR bars a lot better.

Installed LED tail/brake light bulb in stock tail light fixture of my XB12R Firebolt. Way, WAY brighter than standard stock incandecent bulb. I run an aftermarket smoke tail light lenses, so this really makes it brighter. Much more visible, much more safety.

Pulled wheel bearings, destroyed bearing spacers, removed pulley from rear wheel, stripped bolts out on rear rotor, cussed a lot, ordered new bearing spacers and rotor bolts, got old tires unmounted, almost ready for powder coat...

Walked outside, sat down beside it, looked at it for a few minutes, then went back inside! Enjoyed those few minutes!

LOL Sounds like something I would do .... and my GF would say .... " Wtf are you doing?" WITH the rolling eyes .... LOL :p

I've been going to the garage turning on the heater and sitting with it every other day patently waiting for the snow to melt. Last night was a treat I let her speak till she was good and hot. The one woman I could listen to for hours with no complaints. [up]

Ordered me a Keda pipe for my xb12. When its done Deans gonna come to my place and install it. Can't wait to get rid of that stock muffler. I bought that bike new almost 3 years ago. It was time.

You snowbound guys - don't be hatin' - but I just have to rub it in, all in good fun of course...went for my ride a few days ago in shorts and a T-shirt, just 'cause I could - temp was low 80's and sunny - beautiful day. Oh...did wear a helmet and gloves, as always.[up]
