Nothing today, but yesterday I took her out for a nice stroll around Northern New Mexico for about 500 miles or so.

She liked it :)

Got a short ride in and a few nice shots of her clutch weep. Hopefully ill have time to take care of that soon lol

got the T-Rex Racing triple tree adapter today, ordered late Saturday night from their website for $41 + shipping...they were $36 a few weeks ago and out of stock. they had only two options, either black or gold. black for $41 and the gold for $46.
correct pin installed for the triple, works like a champ...but you have to place it in the position pictured above in order to lift the bike.

Let's see.

Thursday:
Repaired broken subframe mounting tab
Cleaned the road gunk from those places that you can really only effectively get to by taking it down to just an engine on the floor.
Wrapped headers
Completely new front end (forks, top and bottom triples, bearings, and a fairing bracket)
New oil cooler return line
Fleabay take-off oil cooler (battle with gravity which the jack won)
Started her for the fist time since my wreck in February back in Hawaii. (Didn't even fuss, it was like magic.)
Cleaned out the engine cavities (oil and coolant)
Changed to water wetter
Lucas fuel system cleaner as well for good measure
Amsoil in the hole and a new filter from HD ($21!! sigh)
New rear axle pinch bolt to replace the one that grew legs (not from HD)
Put on tank and frame grips

Friday:

Suspension day.
Discovered I need a new front wheel soon-ish.
Had some good fun riding around east of Nashville while dialing everything in.

Today:

Final checks
Went on the longest ride both my bike and myself have ever been on. (Nashville to Atlanta)
Consistantly got 50+ mpg @ 80 in 6th the whole way
Rocked out to Physical Graffiti.
Hit 13,000 miles

This was a few days ago but I put an EBR belly pan on, new chain, rear sprocket, front brake pads, right handle bar, exhaust wrap, fixed some grounding wires, and New ignition coil. Not to mention cleaned her up.

Did first clutch adjustment on the Uly and as simple as it was, I got it slightly wrong...

At about 140km/h when accelerating, I noticed the RPMs jumping from 4-5k and a bit of a jiggle at the rear...oops...
Readjusted and took it out today and perfect!

Had great weather, she ran great, so all-in-all a great thumping day! [up]

Lost power in one cylinder in the country last weekend and had to limp home.

Changed the factory plugs to new iridiums today and things appear to be much better, but I can't seem to get the wires to click in pace on the plugs. So I ordered some Magnecor replacement wires and picked up some Amsoil to freshen the fluids (possible gas contamination from the non-sparking cylinder?).

just got my new RSS and my seals in from Al over at Americansportbike.com and its looking like the weather over here is expected to drop below freezing this weekend so a fire in the shop and fresh forks. here i come

Pazzo shorty (adjustable) levers. Combined with Muller power clutch, feels like a totally different bike when shifting gears.

Lost both nuts of the front cylinder exhaust header flange during a ride today. Today was Thanksgiving so tomorrow I'll have to pick up some new nuts and tame the tractor.

Actually it was yesterday... I drilled out a torx-head bolt that I stripped a couple weeks ago. I put in a new speedo sensor and a new rear brake light switch. Since I had the rear brake system open, I flushed it out good with fresh fluid. I also adjusted the clutch... (At least i think I but thats another topic). Then we went for a ride!
