What do you do with old helmets?

I'm picking up a new carbon fiber helmet today. I have one that on using and it's 5 years old. Not sure if it's recyclable aor just toss in the trash. I can't turn it into sobering because it won't go with my star wars themed house LOL

What do some of the members do with them?

I use them for cars/dune buggys whatever.

I've always wanted to make all my kitchen appliances look like droids. I'd have a whole flock of r2d2's cooking breakfast every morning.

I give them to my kids to play with til they destroy them. If they were in good shape I would ebay or CL.

Every picture on the wall is star wars. Got a custom light Saber on the wall as well. Just ordered a han solo in Carbonite shower curtain lol

For some reason I didn't think of CL...
Could sell for 50 bucks or so. I'm not using it lol

Used one as a planter once, put flowers in it and hung it up mum loved it! or slice the top off flat and use it as a bike jack!

I took all the usable bits off of it then threw it in the trash.

If it's a replica race helmet, you'd be surprised that there's people out there who collect them. I sold my old 90s Rainey Shoei for $100!

Otherwise & I usually leave them in the parking lot of the motorcycle shop I bought the replacement helmet from so that some one else might use it (hey, if some one wants to trust their head to a helmet they found, that's their business), or if they're dirty & damaged I just chuck them out.

45 years of riding and helmets on shelf in garage, old jackets hanging about also. Fun to look at what was state of art over the years. Also a few old mc parts on walls, sissy bar has hose rolled up on it ect.
