They had volts in 1939? Haha :black_eyed:

I'm not the only one with a soft spot for old machinery:love_heart:

The volt (symbol: V) is the SI derived unit of electric potential difference or ... of the Italian physicist Alessandro Volta (1745–1827), who invented the voltaic pile, ... and a pile it was ! :black_eyed:

Well I really didn't want to post this up and make anyone feel less than. I guess I'll be called a pompous douche from here on it. 03 cavalier 63k, factory paint peeling off, rear sub frame rotted to hell!20190312_204801.jpg

This is a fun car to drive, only problem is, now that I am retired, I hardly ever drive anyplace and if I do, I'd rather take one of the bikes.

U need a retro ford nascar john! Talladega torino or cyclone spoiler coupe to add to the collection. :D

thanks for the kind words cody and though i'm a chrysler man always had a soft spot for chevrolets and owned a ton of early corvettes thru the years. a 54...55 V-8....pair of dual quad 60's....3 63 coupes...64 coupe...65 coupe...67 427 coupe...68 427 coupe....more than i can remember. funny you should mentiond the Talladega. local guy named charlie forry bought a brand new wimbledon white 428 cobra jet Talladega in the summer of 69 and still owns it. he's close to 70 now and has lost interest and asked me a few years ago if i was interested in it but i loathe fords so haven't bit yet. you really have to see a Talladega or cyclone spoiler II up close to realize how radical and cool they were. they were dominate on the super speedways. here's his from a few years ago that i shot.

Did not expect the aero monte! That's a damn cool and rare car.

agree cody and only ever saw 2 or 3 in person. when you see one in person then you realize how weird and highly modified they were from the factory. local old lady named julie barley bought it new late 1987 from local chevrolet dealer in lancaster and traded in her 79 monte carlo on it and got a hell of a deal. bought it from her in 2001. i should get you an underhood shot. never seen anything like it.

oooo yeah that'd be cool!

i have every piece of factory documentation you can imagine for the nascar AeroCoupe including the window sticker. look at this dealer prep sheet that was affixed to the passenger side window. see the list price? other than the corvette THE most expensive car chevrolet had ever built. no wonder they only sold a handful of these gems.
