I'm having an issue on my 07 xb9sx i did rocker cover gaskets and the airbox mod, when i lowered the engine i had to disconnect the TPS, Fuel Injectors, o2 Sensor wire and i believe the intake temp sensor and it hasnt run the same since, any help here would be greatly appreciated. [confused]

I have no way to read codes as of yet, I did purchase ecmspy cable to beable to connect between bike and laptop, have to wait for it to get here tho, the bike idles really rough and low and when riding it it feels like its hiccuping and low on power and I have a Spec Ops exhaust, stock intake and an airbox mod with breather reroute and no mapping done hope that gives you guys an idea.

Thanks!

Did you put the injectors on backward?

front plugged into rear and rear plugged into front?

As far as i can tell no, the rear was actually labeled "rear injector" with a sticker on wires.

In the mean time you can use the jumper method to check codes. Checking Codes without the spy cable.

Also whats your intake/exhaust/map setup?

I have no mapping done as of yet, been speaking with Max/Tuniversity about getting tuned up tho, oh and thanks for the link.

So when checking codes this way do I actually just count the flashing engine light to get the code its referring to?

Thanks!

first time I did anything with a rocker cover, I pinched the ets and it shorted and caused my bike to run like crap.

Thanks guys for the info, I will double check that nothing got pinched or knocked off, what is the ets you speak off? I have not seen engine light come on so like you said I may not have a code to look for, when doing air box mod I did indeed eliminate upper air box cover.

Thanks!

You think a simple TPS reset will fix it? SInce you disconnected the cable I would have thought that maybe the problem.

Yeah I'm hoping thats all it is but have to wait until my cable gets here :(

Ok so i jumpered the pins and got the engine light to flash but, I dont understand what the flashes are telling me, i get a few slow flashes and then several fast, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

You'll get a series of 6 or 7 (can't remember) fast flashes, then a 2 second pause. The slow flashes that follow the 2 second pause is the first digit of the code. Then another 2 second pause, followed by more slow flashes, which represent the 2nd digit. It will read out however many codes are stored, or just keep repeating the same one over and over and over.

Did you have a CEL on while your bike was normally operating?

Thanks for clearing that up, i did not have a CEL on before doing the rocker gasket change and airbox mod, ah this is killing me because it ran great before i messed with it.

Ok I got ecmspy cable yesterday, go it all hooked up followed the directions to do TPS reset backed the idle mixture way out and for the life of me and the bike I cannot get a 0% value to show up without taking the TPS off of the intake, as soon as I reinstall the TPS the value changes to 0.4%-0.8%, what gives guys?

Thanks!

Ok.. When you back out the idle screw, keep an eye on the Voltage not the percentage. It should stop decreasing. Twist the throttle and let it snap shut periodically while backing the screw out to make sure you're getting a good reading. When it stop decreasing, give it the extra turns like in the video. If you gently turn the throttle closed, you can feel it stick a little when opening again. That means the valve should be completely closed. Then hit reset TPS. After that, continue on as the video says and turn the screw the other way till the percentage increases to about 5.2 to 5.5.... etc etc. following the video as usual.
