what if EBR held an annual picnic kinda like what Saturn did for their car owners, what would you do?

think I would sell my a$$ on the corner to make enough $$$ to ride from SoCal to Wisconsin, LMAO... ok maybe not sell my a$$.

I would have to sit at home and be pissed.......theres no way I could venture 1/2 way across the USA to go to a picnic.

I'd drive up there with the bike in the truck. Keller Texas. I'm sure there would be oodles and poodles of buells. Nothing like the sound of a pack of buells!!

That would be great once EBR starts selling bikes to the target audience he really needs, buyers of sport bikes that are currently owners of Japanese, Italian or British bikes. Current owners and devout followers like us will go but without new money EBR may never be more than a custom bike builder. He needs a dealer network and three or for models under $15, 000. Really needs a few bikes in the 7 to 10 range with the 1190 street bike to be around the price of the BWM 1000RR, Aprilia and Ducati 1098 price range.

Keller Texas

Im just east of Rockwall and even if it was in a truck I still dont think I would go. We have quite a few Buellers here in the southern states, and Im sure if someone put together a well thought out agenda, at a fairly central location and gave everyone a notice well in advance (months) Im sure we would have a big turn out.

Uhm 7-10 range guess again. Ducatis are going for 13 new. Look at brand new sport bikes all of them are around 11-13 new he can't just give the damn bikes away.

Agreed [up]

Didn't they already do that? Called "Homecoming", just had it I think in June.
edit- Rob beat me to it...

I said a few models in the 7 to 10 range dick head. And the 1190 models priced like Duc, Aprilia, and BMW. Basic reading comprehension is not your strong suit is it?

7-10 range is dirt cheap and would probably be a rubber maid bike. I was being a dick just saying the new prices of buells are for sure not going to be in the 7-10 range.

sorry guys, haven't been stateside in a few months and didn't know 'bout "Homecoming". be as it may, so what if there has been one already, hell have another, just another excuse for Buellers to hang, raise hell, check out all the other bikes, trade tips, etc...

Alfatango1...agreed, 7-10k would be best for the target audience and don't think it's dirt cheap or would be a "rubber maid bike" as mentioned by rrh481. recalling that my xb9s MSRP was $8900 give or take a few, it's far from being a "rubber maid bike"! xb9r was about 10k wasn't it?

regardless, no one but EBR knows what the dollar figure will be for the next three models, 'til then all we can do is speculate on the price and hope they are geared towards the "average Joe's" income level.

so come on guys, this topic is just to see what others would do if they had or have the opportunity to go to such an event.

i would go if it were on the west coast... and if i met him i would ask him why he designed some of the things the way he did on the xb. like why he didn't have them wield rear spool hole in the swing arm?, why no oil level window? why is the ecm in the weakest part of the firebolt. why go through all the extra tooling for two of the same bike platforms xb9/xb12. was the brand doomed from the beginning? and if instead xb's were marketed by harley would the model still be going strong? then what is he going to do in the future to make a competitive well rounded bike. because i don't think the 1125 is the answer.then finally have him sign my bike's frame.

because i don't think the 1125 is the answer.
You're right. Erik even said as much in a recent article. He wanted to make the 1190 off the bat but HD jerk wads made him rush the 1125 to production.

off the top of my head. headers, pulleys inner primary, mufflers, air boxes and i know there has to be a few others.

tooling pretty mild most parts interchange between the 9 and 12. no differn't between a v-6 mustang and a v-8 one.
Homecoming comes every year.
orginzation isn't the greatest but the avabilty to meet hang out and chat with Erik is second to none.
Really bummed last years i missed the 5 dollar any plastic part in these huge crate sale.
Was some really great stuff like un released translucant fenders....[mad][sad]
