I have a 2009 1125CR and was wondering what the widest tire I can put on it? Can I go any wider than the stock tire?

i dont know personally but i think a fat wide tire on the back would look pretty sweet, might even help with turns and faster speeds due to more surface contact with the tire and the road, is there a reason why your wanting a wider tire?

No problem. If you do a search for "200mm", you'll find a couple other threads too.

I thought about getting a 190 this last time but i was worried about it making my turn in harder. If anything I feel like I should have gotten a 170 but that just wouldn't have looked cool.

The 2oo look flat. 190 and under its round. i like the 190 cause its closer to a race tire. its round not flat. post pics of your 200's and i will show you what i mean.

The bikes geometry is designed around a 180. Superbikes race with a 180. They handle the best. 190 and 200 just plain ol' look sweet.

pic of my 200m... I have not noticed any difference in the handling of the bike.

Not really, notice the picture above...... Looks pretty round to me.

Here is a shot of my 200mm on my old bike, still looks pretty round. Plus I have never noticed any difference in riding since like I stated in my write up the roads in the states are few and far between where you can actually out ride the tires abilities, due to ruts, potholes, dirt, sand, or what ever could be on or in the road to make any tire worthless in the traction department.

Here is a side by side of a 180mm- 200mm, it does have a flattened out look, but I feel it is simply due to the fact the stock size tire has such a peak to it. Notice the 200mm still has smoothly rounded edges where you need it and yes a somewhat smooth out midsection but when you are riding the midsection the radius doesnt play as much of a roll as what would on the outer lip area.

Either way one can look at it, it all comes down to preference. So if you want the wider tire it wont hurt so run it, but if you dont like it then simply dont.

i just noticed a section of discolored rubber showing through on my tire's center section. time to set aside some money for one of these 200's. i am one of the few that like my rear hugger and belt guard. so i have a question. i read i would have to "notch" out the rear cover, how would i do that? i mean i know how to notch something but it would almost seem like i would need to get rid of the cover's and guards all together. also i was reading that the newer xbs have wider belts. just to re-cap before i order, a 200 will fit my 09' huh

I like the 200 wide ass tire but i dont like the flat look so I guess it depends on the brand of the tire. Some 200's are flat, look up! Some are not look up, up higher! Thats all im saying.:p

I put the Metzler Sportec M3's on and I don't think it looks flat. I like them so far I only have maybe 1500 miles on them but you can see the first picture not much wear...
