What oil and filter are you all using?

I don't live that far from an HD dealer but!! There is an Advanced right around the corner, Autozone not to much farther, and Every other auto parts store to think of that is closer than the dealer? So with that said what is a good brand of oil and filter? Should I go synthetic? The bike is an 09 12SS with about 4k miles and I don't race at all or ride really hard..... That much! What should I look for?

I use a Wix filter and Lucas full synthetic 20w50 that I get from O'rillys/Checkers for about half the price of a filter and oil from the dealer.

I have a machined stainless reusable oil filter. Right now I have a k&n filter on there because I'm short changing the oil because it's from last season, and I'm too lazy to clean the reusable one. I run 20w50 royal purple max cycle in the engine, and 10w40 max cycle in the transmission.

Dont be afraid to ask your questions,every body on here was new at one time,and asked their questions regardless.
I use the vr1 synthetic 20 50,and whats in stock at pepboys for the filter.3 buells with no problems.
they are about 10 bucks a quart,not sure if it makes a difference,but I figure 30 bucks is cheaper then a rebuild,not sure on the royal purple,I have heard good and bad?
