What tires?

www.sportbiketrackgear.com has a sale on michelins right now. I think they are selling the power pure for 249 shipped.! Hell of a deal IMO.

The Pilot Power 2CT is a TOTALLY different animal from the Pilot Road 2. I've never seen the Road 2 refered to as a "2CT" before, even though it it a dual compound tire. The Road 2 is a fantastic tire though and I'll whole heartedly reccommend it to anyone who wants an opinion. Its pretty much perfect for street riding, even hard street use.

I guess I got into the habit of referring to the Pilot Road 2 as a "2CT" because it's on their website as a marketing plash:
Michelin Pilot Road 2(2CT)

I have the pilot power 2ct. Im on my second set now. I ride pretty aggressively though living in the ADKs :) If you do more highway riding, I would recomend any of the pilot roads instead. When i road on the highway more the center of my 2cts wore out pretty fast. If i did more highway riding i would use the roads they have a harder center tread.

The cheapest prices on install, believe it or not come from Harley-Davidson. However, the catch is I have to buy the tires from them and they don't sell/carry Shinko tires. They can get pretty much anything else if they don't have what I want in-stock.

They recommended Continental Conti Force Max-Sport. Has anyone used these tires? What do you think of them? I can get them installed for a very reasonably price. As long as they are comparable to the Podiums or maybe the Road 2's, sound like a pretty good choice.

Thanks,
-Matt

I have a Shinko Raven on the rear now and it's coming up on 7K and might get 1K more before I have to replace it. I do strictly highway riding these days and only wear the center.

What city are you in Matt? I live in Oregon. I have the pilot power 2cts, ive got about 7,000 miles on them and no real complaints, the rear is getting flat on the center but then again it is nw ohio. we have to ride 40 miles to find 2 nice turns.

I have about 1500 miles on my SHINKO RAVENS 009... front and rear from cycle gear... $230.00 delivered! They grip pretty well for the same riding manner as yours and at times even a bit aggressive. I'd buy them again once they are worn out... from the looks of it I can get 12K miles easy on these shinko ravens.

Good tire hunting/shopping:)

The shop that has the most reasonable install rates (Harley Davidson) doesn't sell Shinko, nor can they get them - which is a big bummer.

Nobody has used a Continental Conti Force Max-Sport? I wasn't able to find much on them either, so I'm sure it's not a very popular tire. I'll call in tomorrow and see what other tires they can get me for a reasonable price.
