Hello everyone , what kind of oil do I use in my trans' , 20w50 or 75w80 . I don't have in my country amsoil nor 1 mobile, and I'm whey far from my dealer, thanks

When I used Mobile 1 V-Twin in the primary, it got clunky to shift gears. I took it back to the dealer thinking they messed something up, but it was fine and adjusted properly. When I changed to Amsoil the clunkiness went away and it got smooth to shift again.

I hve run Mobile on every Buell I've owned, still run it, never an issue here [smirk]

royal purple 20w50, smooths shifts, and run it in the engine it will lower temps, and reduce engine noise at idle. I run royal purple in my ford lightnig as well, you can get it at most parts stores, around $11 per quart. Orielly has it and wix filters for your bike.

I have run mobile 1 and royal purple in my primary. royal purple was smoother. use 20w50 of either

seldom mentioned on here but Motul synthese, Bel-Ray gearsaver, and Silkolene trans fluids also excellent. if you choose one of them get the weight they recommend to match up with 20-50. i've been using Bel-Ray gearsaver #80 in sportsters and buells for ages and they shift wonderfully, clutch engages nicely...all 3 are great fluids. but then again any of those mentioned above are fine. stay away from any 20-50 car type oil as its additive package can cause big clutch problems. 20-50 Castrol Act-Evo cycle oil also great.

I read somewhere(think it was on Badweather) that someone asked Erik what he recommends, and was told
that they run Harley Formula + in the race bikes.
So, of course thats what I use, ans Amisol in the motor.
