96 Buell S1 Lightning 16K miles. Vance & Hines slip-on, chain conversion with 180 tire, PM wheels, Carbon race air cleaner, bar-end mirrors, knurled foot-pegs, LED signals, brake pads have only 1K miles on front and rear.Tires also have only 1K miles. I have the flyscr een and mounts to go with it. The rest of the bike is original and it runs and rides excellent. This bike is from the U.S. and all the proper import has been done to register it . I'm asking $5000.00

I would pay 3k so asking 5k is good cause i like getting good steals.

I doubt he will sell for 3k

I don't see to many of the old S1 tubers up here , so a little unsure on the price .

It's high, their is/was one in my area for 2500. 1998 S1 molten orange with a nuc blue frame and wheels. He's asking White Lightning prices for a regular S1. But also Buells values are "what ever someone is willing to pay". Good luck with your search!

Ya I personally wouldn't pay that for a carb'd tuber like that. You could get an EFI version or XB for that price. Not a bad bike but I'd try and get it or one like it for around 3 or less in good shape but like mentioned it's worth what someone is willing to pay

Thank you for the responses. I am going to try and buy it for 3500 $ Canadian.
kinda doubt he will sell it which means i will probably end up looking in the USA

YOu never know unless you try. He might have priced it there just to see and had 3K in his mind the whole time. You can always come down, but never go up on price

Tubers are bringing good money because there harder to find than xb's but you get less bang for your buck. They are realy cool due to there rareness. I'd say it's worth up to $4000 but I wouldn't go quite that high. Personally I'd wrather find a x1, they are just better lookin I think. If you really like the bike I can't imagine you regreting paying $3500.

I like to tell people I only have x amount of dollars to work with when shooting a lowball offer. Say that's all you have and don't want to waste there time if there not willing to accept that offer.
Good luck
