I just turned 31 in August and my xb12ss was a birthday present to myself. Ive been riding for 9 years now. Love my buell but love riding in general. Ride safe and smart everyone. Cheers

36. Finally got a license to make it legal. Grew up with quads, triples and dirt bikes. Finally got the bike I always wanted, a Bolt. It's Arctic White and Hero Blue

I was 21 when I bought my 07 Firebolt brand new when I was still in the Marine Corps now I am 27 and guess what I still have my baby, and the only problem I have ever had with her is the stator and voltage regulator went bad at two different times. XB12R

Well my first & only Buell is an 09 Uly XB12X, I think it has 6" of ground clearance with suspension turned all the way up. I am 5"7", 200 lbs, 49 years old. I Love this bike, nothing it cannot do, and I really like the height. Reminds me of when I was a kid when riding other's dirt bikes like a YZ 125. I used to have to climb up on the pegs to get a leg over, I can get a leg over from the ground on the Uly. The seat & bar height gives a great riding posture, for me it's better than a cruiser.
My wife started riding last November, she is close to my age and height. Would Love to see her on a Firebolt. I think that would be a good progression from a GZ 250. She did not grow up with bikes, but has good balance and instinct on one so far. I am super cautious as I have been very lucky as a kid and survived literally unscathed after crashes in the dirt and street, It was pure luck! I hope it is contagious......

Been riding since I was 21. Two jap sport bikes to start. Both stolen. Went cruiser with a Vulcan Mean Streak. It wasn't that mean so I traded for a RS Warrior. Sweet bike but it was physically too big for me to ride comfortably beyond 30-40 minutes at 5'9", so I sold it and got a Suzuki B-king. Still have the king. Just got an 09 1125CR. love both. Stay rubber side down boys n girls [up]

turned 19 today, owned a 2009 ninja 250 when i was 17, then bought a triumph daytona just before i turned 18, turned it quickly and bought my 2008 1125r april 2013. Ive ridden tons of bikes trying to find one that i love and the 1125r fits the bill perfectly!

33 been riding since I was 14. Will hit my 20 year mark in June of next year. My first bike was a 78 Honda XL250. Fun bike that I really wish I still had. Been through a lot of others up to now.

24, been riding for a year. first bike was a 2003 xb9 went down in rain and insurance payed me enought to buy a 2009xb9 :p (i dont ride in rain anymore lol)

Been passenger on dad's motorcycles since before I could walk. Been riding them myself as long as I can remember. Finally bought my own road bike in 2008 at 24y/o, I'm now 29 and have ridden a very wide variety of bikes (from Ninja 250 to Hayabusa to V-Rods and Goldwings) but always come back to my Blasts.

I saw this thread for first time today and thought I would chime in. Bought 2008 XB12Ss when I was, gulp....57? Really? I am 59 now. Really? Doesn't feel it. I digress.
I probably did purchase this due to midline crisis....if late 50's qualifies as midlife. Continually think I should get a cruiser or maxi scoot. Then I ride "da beast" again. Absolutely puts my mind at ease, shakes some extra testosterone into my system while idling and generally makes my life seem more tolerable. Not sure if "da beast" will ever part ways with me.

got mine at 34, im 35 now. fell in love with them at 21....drank too much to ride back then....used this as a good reason to stop ...it works and was riding ninjas before...few years later my buddy wanted to sell his xb9sx for a cruiser...i jumped on it and have never looked back.....this bike is staying in the family...love it!

I`ve been riding since the age of 12 and still loving it, I am 63 and have owned and ridden many bikes, I currently
own a 2008 XB12STT and rate it one of the best. Age is a number, what counts is your attitude and approach to life.
Live life to the fullest you only have one chance. :) [up]

Not sure if i posted here before, but i was 32 when i had my midlife crisis. I love every minute of the outcome.

This was my first motorcycle (2005 XB12Scg) ever, I bought it before I even knew how to ride or even taken my MSF. I was 39yrs, now 40yrs.

Cheers!

Agree with Busta... age is just a nbr.. Will be 60 this year ... probably " a doyen " ( one of the oldest ) on the forum.... bought my first street bike in 1972... a Ducati 750 ... ( those were the days my friend I thought they' d never end ..) there was no speed limit in Europe ( where I live ).... Many bikes later, mostly Ducati, Laverda, calmed down a bit when speed limits ( and traps ) were installed.... after some BMW's, a Kawa and a Honda.. my first Buell was an X1 Lightning .. a Millenium Special Blue/white Stripe nbr 191/350 ( 1999 ).... Speed became less important.. Just loved the way it felt....
Currently have a XB12XP ... one of the last ( model 2010 Vin nbr 00011 )... Probably one of the few that arrived in Europe.. Bought it brand new at the local Harley's ... ...Adore it....
Just enjoy life.. whatever you like doing... Ciiaaaoooo !!!!!
