i just put on some new tires (pirreli Diablo stradas )and seen my rear wheel bearings was hard to turn . actually was going to have the shop where i had the tires put on put new bearings in, but those monkeys couldn't get them out & even said they broke there tool. luckily they didnt damage the wheel so i took them out ..they sold me the only wheel bearings they had for the xb .( Koyo brand never heard of them.;black like the 03 that was recalled not organge like the new ones.)( if you ever need change your wheel bearings dont waste your money on the tool in the service manual( it cost about $250) when you can get a Blind hole puller at autozone for free (Loan a Tool program just pay the deposit and bring it back and get your full deposit back). it took me less than 5 minute to take them out ; no damage.
so my question is what brand and where to find some of best wheel bearings. having a hard time finding any for the buell on the internet. i guess H-D dealer might be my only chose other than $350 ceramics from woodcraft .the number on the bearings is 6006LU
