Wow. Very nice rides indeed. Id like to do a long trip but wife isnt crazy about me riding it to town!

Knoxville TN- home 500 miles in 8 hours in 2005. Last year i left my home in northeast Indiana, at 6:00 Saturday morning and was in Oakley Kansas 1000 miles by noon Sunday before bike broke down. Both were on my 02 s3 thunderbolt. In 2009 rode my cousins Heritage softial 6000 miles in 11 days, Seattle Washinton, then back home.

Damn this thread is getting me pumped up for summer! Can't wait for some weekend trips to happen! Nicely done gentlemen.[up]

I'm 6'2" 215 and just did 500 mile round trip in 2 days for Daytona bike week on a Lightning Long. I stayed off the highway and went 70mph max (mostly ;)) Good weather, a little chilly.
Next time...
I will bring my jacket liner and pant cuff clips
I will wear earplugs
I won't wear a backpack
I will leave earlier so I can stop more often.
I can't wait to do it again!

SOB... my ride did not last very long… I got about 650 miles when my rear crescent muffler bolts both broke which caused my headers to come loose from the engine. So I've been sitting in a hotel over Easter weekend waiting to I can get a U-Haul to take it back home.[mad]

1. San Jose, CA -> St. Louis, St. Louis -> Seaside, Oregon (followed the Louis & Clark trail as closely as possible), Seaside, Oregon -> Vancouver Island, BC, Vancouver Island, BC -> San Jose, CA

Did it in about two and a half weeks.

2. San Jose, CA -> Yuma, AZ -> Deming, NM -> San Antonio, TX -> Memphis, TN -> Louisville, KY -> Cleveland, OH

Did this one in about a week.

Now... on my Buell.... the longest I've gone is Cinci, OH to Cleveland, OH. I'm not insane enough to ride those big ones on my little Dixie!

1,289 miles in a day but that was 24 years ago. From K.I. Sawyer Air Force Base in Marquette Michigan to Pensacola Florida. I left out in freezing rain and 8 hours later it cleared up. Then I had to outrun hail storms and tornado's all the way through Kentucky and Tennessee. The last 5 hours of the trip from Atlanta to Pensacola was perfect weather! Today, I'm good for a couple hundred miles.

It does suck!… I dropped it off to the Harley today and come to find out that my rear header bolts broke as well so moral the story there is about $600-$775, plus the bill for the U-Haul which was about $500 and the cost of fuel.
Just for the hell of it I looked it up online and round-trip ticket would've been $310!

My wife and I did 940 miles to vegas the year after we got married. Me on a dirt tracker style evo sportster her on a 750 magna. Ride home three days later in one shot was 200 miles longer than we should have been on the bikes.
Now on my s3t with better egros and longer range and her not following I think I would still stop around 1k a day, not back to back. This is interstate boring riding too. I would rather ride 400 miles on county roads or mountains any day.

38 states, 10,000 miles over 13 weeks aboard a zx14. Pa to Florida & back aboard my Buell.

920 miles in one day from Ruidoso, NM to Edinburg, TX (was the last leg of a 3100 mile trip). Was a record for me last month ... not bad at 52 years old. Did it on my '07 Uly. Here's a picture of my bike and I on the trip:
