Whats this for an exhaust?

Hello friends of buell !

I've got an header and muffler on bike which i really don't know and i googled alot.
Reason what im looking is get a other header cause the right side scoop won't fit.



sry i really dont know why the pictures are upside down

and an technical question, When i put full throttle from idle it sounds that the engine will die.

I am guessing the bike was bought used, so my next question would be if the bike has had its ECM tuned for the exhaust or has a race ECM installed?

That is a nice exhaust... I would check to see if there are any leaks, then check to see if the map is correct for that exhaust. Sounds like the mapping may be off.

Yes thats right i bought the bike ih the exhaust on. I've got a second ECM i will try this maybe runs better with them.
sadly no experience with ECMSpy and co.

It's a Micron exhaust. i would say one of the best Exhaust systems out there.

you need to make sure to get your ECM tuned properly for that system though.

yeah I saw one dyno result on the 9 with that micron full system and it made a good amount of hp... I forget the number but it was impressive.. like 6hp above all the others.. that's probably the best system for hp numbers out there.. someone else may know the exact numbers on that thing... its a desirable system, rare too

According to the muffler shoot out it made 105.43 on a 12 and 95.98 on a 9

They are not that great they crack and break saw 2 of them like that.

I think thats everbody liking.

I checked and there is a race ECM with the inscription "for race only" i switched to original ECM but the failure will be much worse.
what could the exhaust be worth ?

I dont doubt the pipe works really good but how the funk do they get away with those two bends on the front header! they look so amateur like they were stood on and bent by hand!! Sorry mate dont mean to disrespect your pipe!

You have a rare expensive exhaust and a race ECM....probably adds 10% plus hp over stock...so why do you want to take it off again??? Sometimes ugly is a good thing!

i am consider to take it of. first reason just want to know want i have there and then decide to take it of or exchange to a double D or stuff like that.
in the next month a will take the hole bike apart for powder coating and co. and turn the exhaust althoug in black.

Well, short of the potential for cracking and the difficulty in repairing it.......you've got the best performing (and likely rarest) of all exhausts for the XB. Just make sure the tune is good and feel really ****ing lucky you got a top end system in the sale that you didn't know about!

Those bends are designed that way on purpose, hydroformed headers. Similar to how heads are ported. It may not look it but it flows much better than a mandrel bend.

Thanks Phelan i didnt know that! its just a shame they cant hide it inside a "conventional" shape pipe? so i wonder why only micron do it that way if it flows better?
