You know, hitting the 55 mph speed limit in FIRST gear is pretty bad, although I know those ninja's would do 70+ in first, maybe 100+ in 2nd. Yeah, in MPH.

The 04 gixxer 600 I had did 97 in first. Redlined at 17.5k

Right now my casual speed is 45. In Kona. On my scooter (symdd50 2 stroke with 72cc bore, 21mm carb, pipe. The thing does like 52 [up]

91 mph in first on my zx10r at the shift light.
I ride 9 over most the time since i got 6 points my first year on the xb.

around 140km/h on highway - comfortable speed and not straining motor too much, with enough grunt to overtake. also trying to preserve fuel for my whole week's commute. if i ride decent (not too hard on throttle, high speeds) i manage a tank a week, but it is hard to reserve myself...

Cruising on a lazy day, I try to stay around 70.

Usually 80-90 on the highways with light traffic. Heavy traffic I tend to hang keep around the speed limits.

Empty highway....I've had it pushing 140 a couple times.


Just love the feel of accelerating...so I do it constantly.

Off the line I'll make some room and then drive about 5 over. On the highway I cruise about 70. I really just enjoy riding. The older I get the faster I was.

I rarely look at the speed limits. I always ride or drive much faster than the speed limit, except when on the car and with heavy traffic.
For example near my house I am doing 3x the speed limit (120km/h on 40km/h zone), especialy at night driving the car, or day with the bike and open road.
The car might be much slower, but I am much more at the limit with it, sliding through corners, crazy overtakes, really fast through villages etc. The bikes limit is hard to get, but I enjoy the instant acceleration, usually up to around 110mph on local roads. I tend to be more careful with the bike, when theres trafic.
But in general, even thought I do some dangerous stuff with the car, I tend to limit my speed depending on the conditions, for example during the day when riding or driving by a school I tend to be slower than most, then at open roads at night much faster.
