So I have a 03 XB9R(17,000mi), and when I go to hit the front brakes it just feels terrible. It's hard to explain but it doesn't feel right at all. I'm not sure if it's the wheel bearing or if it's the rotor. The only way I could try to explain it is that when I hit it it's not "smooth". Also, what do you guys use for stands to take the front wheel off? I have seen the T-Rex stands that are universial for $160, but not sure if they would work for a buell? Thanks in advance!

Here is a thread on some of the same issues you are having. It is really hard to warp the rotors though, my guess is that the brake pads need replaced. I would suggest Lyndall Golds, I had them on my Firebolt and they were great.

Brake issues

I suspend mine from rafters in my garage and use jack stands. This works for me as I dont want to spend the $$ on t-rex stands.

I wrapped a rotor it happens .
I doubt it is the wheel bearing it would feel bad all the time.
there are jack points on the stock muffler or tie it by the handle bars.
