im not gonne do it all the time when im going for a ride and not t balance point or stuff like that

Alright guys I literally read this entire thread, I want to start doing my first wheelies, I'm on a 09 xb12r but, I've seen people say you can power up and I've seen people say that learning to clutch up is the way to go. I'm all about learning so I'm open to clutch ups more than anything since I've seen alot of arguments about whether or not it is possible to power up or not, I'm 150 pounds and 6ft tall so a lanky light weight guy.
Blip the throttle and the clutch at the same time starting at 3000 and working my up till I get a pop? I hate to sound like a newb and ask but yall are helping each other and it looks comfortable enough to ask now :p

The bike is not stock, I have a k&n filter with a spec ops pipe, I did tune the ECM as well.

Proof to you young pups than even an old man can still get it up!!!

Hey legit! Go find a parking lot. Rev to 3k. Sit ur a$$ back in the saddle. Release the clutch just til the revs start to drop. Then roll on the throttle and pop off the clutch let ur bike do the work. If u get scared clutch in. U should do this like twenty times to find UR balance point before u try a rolling second gear 4500rpm clutch drop. Just my two cents

Correction: bounce off the rev limiter clutch in 1st gear both feet on the ground drop the clutch! Works everytime 60% of the time!

I weigh 128 lbs wet (it's all muscle though :) ) Wheelies happen. Gotta work on my hole shot. A little wheelie is good (less rolling friction), but I haven't found the right combination of clutch and throttle roll-on yet. Such a fun bike!
