Where did everyone go?

Buellxb Forum

Help Support Buellxb Forum:

Pretty much check in every day. I really only contribute to threads that i have some experience in (things i have done to my buell, repairs etc).

same here, but if I know where they can get more info on what or who to go to, I'll chime in on other postings

have noticed a lot of newbies on the forum, it's all good, new guys need to take the time to read over the first few threads in the general motorcycle chat forum to get up to speed...on that note, uploading pics...please read through the thread on how to post pics, videos, etc...don't understand the disconnect on why this is a problem...ok, I'm off the soap box...

I think many are still hibernating!
:D:D:D

Bought mine in early 2009. I don't post often, but I have read a lot. Still here very frequently and love to help new buellers. Probably selling 2004 xb12 this spring, but just bought an 1125cr. Going to stick around :)

Show me another bike so under appreciated in the sport bike community I can buy 146HP with 1200 miles on it for $5500... Buell for life.

Goduc was a good resource on here, he offered me quite a bit of information on the SS swing arm conversion. Too bad the bikes got sold!

I still get on about every day, winter is always a slow time for motorcycle forums, It seems only people who truely tear their bike apart and mod it post frequently during the cold months, or those who have a lot of time on their hands.... Sadly I fall into the second category... :/

But at least there have been a lot of "new owner" posts lately!!! seems people are putting their tax money to good use!

There was a bit of assholery on here for a little bit

I have noticed quite a bit of the same, I know I haven't been around posting as much because of it. That, and also as mentioned, it's winter. (Spring can't some soon enough. I need to get out and stretch my legs, get a little high-speed stress relief)

Only so much you can discuss on a bike specific forum. This forum hasn't always been the best place to vent or link awesome shit. I check in once in a while and give any help I can when needed and vice verse, but to be honest I'm much more regular user of my local PNW forum.

Does this forum even have an "off topic" section?

I agree there can be a bit of rudeness and "assholery" on this particular forum, but I also like it because most of the people are just having fun, screwing around...

I lurk from time to time. But the love is gone.

Im see it the same way. Thats why I dont post as much.

Surprisingly the volvo forum I am on has alot more members and still manage to be more friendly across the board. Im on there more now, but Buells will always have a special place in my heart.

Nobody sticks around because they eventually realize that Buells are OLD & SLOW! :D

Seriously though, perhaps we are seeing the torch being passed. Has anyone else noticed the amount of new owners posting over the last few months? I think it's fair to say that when most of us bought our first Buell we knew relatively little about it. Over the years we have gained lots of experience by riding, servicing, modifying, repairing, etc., and are now able to share our experiences with the noobs. I have gained quite a bit of invaluable knowledge from being a member here and I can't imagine the wealth of information and assistance available on the site will be going away anytime soon.

Most know I sold both my Buells, I have been spending my time of the road. Still pop in each day for a little bit. Mainly I answer PMs on issues guys need about conversions or just about anything as far as that goes.

This has been my life minus work for the past months

I'm hoping as a noob and my Fab skills being a supervisor at a Fab shop I can bring along some new ideas and new things to talk about.... my wife tells me that it doesn't matter what I own I always have to mess with it. I can never just leave my fingers off off of it...... boy I'm glad I didn't buy a sportster......
