Can someone please show me where my ECM is on my firebolt? Please use a couple pics to show me. I want to see if I have a race ECM. When I bought my bike it had a VooDoo exhaust and the breather mod, and it was done very professionaly so im would think some one would have completed the job by installing a Race ECM. But I need to check.

Your ECM is above the headlight assembly. You'll need to remove the front fairing to see if you have a race ECM though, as all you'll be able to see from underneath is the connectors.

Undo the mirrors, turn signals and the two lowest allen bolts that attach the windscreen to the fairing and it will pop right off.

You will see "FOR RACE USE ONLY" on the ECM if it is indeed a race ECM.

See the barcode above the headlights? thats your ecm this is on my 07 12r

Its between your Piaggio and 360 Cafe racer. Its the White thing,You'll see it, don"t forget the alarm-- Private joke everybody, he's a friend of mine.

Ok, so let me make a inquiry. so, if i have a moded exhaust and a high flow intake I should get a race ecm? Is that about right? At the momment my bike runs good but i can tell it could run better. Also how much hp and torque can i expect to get with a race ecm?

Ok, let me get this right. I took off my fairing and I saw the bar code. It did not say for race only. Now after putting it back together i was looking at buell racing and now think i was supost to unscrew the ecm and look at the back side am i right? Does it actually say for race use only on the back side? Not on the barcode side? Can someone ******* tell me? So i dont have to take it apart again for no reason.

guess I need more details to be sure (year engine and specific pipe and intake setup because some actually only increased mid-range and not top end power) but I think anywhere between 2-5% increase overall with mods and ECM. but from what I can tell you could ECM spy your bike and have just as nice results. have you done a TPS reset since you did your mods? it will help your performance a great deal by just getting a new baseline.

......but...... if it's been reflashed, you may have a race ECM. The only way to check then is to use ECM spy and compare maps and numbers...
