where is the ecm?

im going to order a ecm for my bike but i want to check the one on it first. how do i know if its a stock or race ecm? also where is it located?

S and X are under the seat. R is inside the headlight cowl I think.

mine is a r i took everything out from under the seat because i thought it was there. but it wasn't. so i guess i look under the headlight tomorrow

Buy a service manual. It helps.

got one coming but was 7 days out and i still have 3 days to go before i see it.
but in 3 days i plan to be riding the bike.

take the blinkers off,then mirrors.unscrew the 2 center windscreen bolts then ur fairing will pop right off. the ecm will be directly in front of you. 2 bolts 7/16 will be holding it on. you can then slide it out far enough to look and see if its race or not
