got the xb9s out for the first time of the year yesterday. did and oil change and cleaned filter. filled her up with gas and hopped around town for few mins put 10 miles on the bike. checked before i left and when i parked it.. no leaks, but after i got it up to temp and checked the oil, it doesn't register on the dipstick. also my dipstick is bent like a banana. seems like it might have to be to fit into the swingarm but how does it get accurate reading. i used 2.5 quarts like the manual says. i don't want to add more and overfill it. this was my first oil change outside of the dealership (too expensive) so some help from the experienced would be appreciated

Did you fill the new oil filter half with oil before install... I forgot it once and wondered as well wtf is the oil gone. The banana dipstick is not really a problem, look were the oil lever is marked, the little bending is not a big deal.

yah put 4 oz in the filter. (thats what the manual calls for) pretty much filled the filter all the way. and im not getting any reading on the dipstick. so i know it can't be that low. (to not reed at all)

I've changed the oil in mine twice, and both times 2.5qts wasn't enough to get it to the proper range on the dipstick.

anyone know if they make a white dipstick for these bikes? I can never tell my oil level on the black one
