Which dealer would best to help EBR?

Any bike dealer but Harley. I want to be able to walk into a Bike Shop not an clothing store that sells bikes and fake IDs.

I think in all reality an Italian bike shop would be best suited for EBR bikes, Ducati, Aprilla, or MV Agusta.

The complexity of a sport bike is in my opinion to much for a Harley shop which generally thinks one way an this is from my experience at a Harley shop being clueless to what a sport tire is, mis ordering parts that don't have a Harley logo, or even good riding gear that isn't Harley name brand.

The biggest thing with Harley and why you're never going to see a Buell sitting next to a Harley again is that Harley is a snobbish, elitist company. They require so many square feet for the dealership based on units/year sales. A certain amount of HD certified techs and a multi million dollar facility for a small dealership. Couple that with the fact that they demand you don't share that showroom floor with ANY other brand and the fact that HD snubbed EBR. It wont happen. There's a dealership just up the road from my office the lost their HD franchise because there are Hondas on the floor. IMO, HD is a stuck up, snobbish company with elitist ******** making the decisions.

Wouldn´t it be great to see EBR bikes in the Harley shops?
**** the hell no! They (corporate) screwed Eric so many times, they don't deserve to have his best creation in their show rooms. Yes some dealers, mine included were very supportive but he needs to distance himself and show the world he can compete with the Italians and Japaneses on his own terms. I say just sell them along with the other Bombardier products Polaris and Can Am, but still have them as Eric Buell Racing bikes. This would get you into a lot of showrooms with the competition, not at cruiser dealers like Harley.

Wow,

Some response here. And most of them against a new Harley partnership.
At this moment they still cover my Buell warranty.

But any combination with a true sportbike factory (Ducati, Triumph etc.) would be unthinkable.

The Bombardier link would be a nice one. Worldwide dealership. No own bikes (as I know just Snowmobiles, Quads and waterjets). Together with the Victory this would look good in their portafolio.
And even using their own engines...

Guess time will tell.

big lots or dollar general would be better than hd
****** killing me... ha ha ha :D Well said brother!

When the day comes that EBR sits next to Kawi, Suzuki, Honda & Yamaha and even Duc and Triumph in a showroom, and hopefully soon, this will be what all of us have been waiting for. The 1190 street model should be as good if not better than the competition, EBR just needs the funding and support that he never got. Even the 1125 is something he never wanted to build but was forced to by HD pricks!

Didn't read all the comments but my take.
Triumph, aprilla,BMW,ducati. Aka other high end sport bike.
I bet hd dealers like ukes who has always been behind Erik and also carry can am spiders might have a shot.

Erik, has a lot ahead of him right now, to do any of the joint unions of one reason only. He's of the Age where he wants to make Specialty Bikes. Our Bikes are the Last of a Great Generation, where a Builder,& Racer took a piece of an OLD Design and made it Way Better Than Harley did.OR maybe ever could.Just Saying he now has to be True to himself cause he Revented the Big bikes with Newer ECMs & Throttle by Wire & fuel injection etc.., and Invented the Buell Bikes with help of course. Now that Harley has no use for him Because they know that His ideas and Experience along with a Billion Dollar Grant to Save H/D,from falling by the Wayside is done. Their Bikes have come up to the EPA regulations (somewhat) and Millions of Riders are Happy about that.I am Glad However that Erik is Away from H/D because he can now do some of his Best work for himself and Us Buellers as well.Eriks a Great Guy and he may or not have a working future with a new Dealer or He may just continue to build a few a year We'll see.I'm sure he has something up his sleves besides those Gituar Picks.*Jimi[up]

Screw em all I say like it says in the upper right corner of the downloadable wallpaper on ebr site "FIERCELY INDEPENDENT"

Ya I don't thinkhe wants anyone advising him on his decisions this time around. HD told him when they would release his bikes and what type of bike to make and everything. I'd be surprised if he partnered with anyone at all. Besides ERIK BUELL RACING sounds way ******* cooler than just BUELL. (Not that buell sounds bad but ya know what I mean)

I'm going to put one of those ebr tank decals on my bolt, "hell ya its a full-blown racebike, says Erik buell RACING right there!!!"

I think BMW would be the closest match. They have high end customers with high budgets. Plus BMW riders like to be a little different so they will appreciate the innovation.

Well, maybe BMW drivers want to stick out in the US. But the GS series is one of the highest sellers here in Spain.

And me for sure. I drove BMW for a car. It is a great car. But it didn´t stick out. Sold it and later got me a Lexus which here in Europe did stick out.

Guess the Polaris group still makes a good chance. It would increase their line of products without biting in their own sales.

according to his website theres a spot to give all your info if you want to inquire about dealing his bikes. i don't think hes going to necessarily sell them with a specific manufacturer (KTM, DUCATI, POLARIS, ETC), i think he will have dealers around the nation but they'll be smaller bike/performance shops ya know like BOBS BIKE SHOP, or EUROSPORT CYCLES (sells everything european), places like that i would say.

It wouldn’t be feasible to partner with a shop so small. He would need an established store with stability. Otherwise financing and service would be hard to guarantee or control.

Sea-Doo watercraft and sport boats, Can-Am quads and roadsters, buell since they all have a common component

i wouldnt think it will be atached to a brand like it was before but more like aprillia and ducati any big dealers who want to sell and maintain the line of bikes. perhaps even some of the old dealers even though they have hd one near me had harley buell and aprillia now sells triumph.I just would like to see them produce somewhat afordable and a dealer in my back yard of course.

While I might agree on the compatibility, no way in hell BMW will allow it if they have the choice (with each individual dealer). They've got a smoking hit in the S1000RR, and they're not going to allow anything to steal the thunder from that. If the rumored 675cc triple happens, they'll have all the buzz they can handle.
