Good lord how long did you stay for? What were the pros and cons of the trip that long?

I was going for some training for work for about 2 weeks. So I had civilian cloths plus 2 flight suits and my helmet bac with my flight helmet, survival vest and harness in it.

The worst part was getting on and off the bike other than that everything was good and I was surprized at how comfy it was too.

Well, it looks like it worked out for you then!

I've never seen a bike with so much baggage before.

Call me a braggart but I rode my '03XB9S Lightning from Austin, TX to Suches, Georgia (for March Badness)and back loaded at least as heavy as that last March. Also, made a short 600 mile jog to Big Bend and back two springs ago, and had to take all my camping gear. I know I got pics here somewhere. I'll have to load them up.

My "Pinga's" got over 56,000 miles on her and she's still loving to travel. On the Big Bend trip, we averaged 39 mpg and she did just over 120 mph for over 50 miles on one leg of the trip despite the weight and bulk. To Georgia, thru the Tail of the Dragon and back she averaged 43 mpg. She doesn't even burn oil yet...

Big Bend trip. This doesn't show me w/my overloaded backpack, but it does show the bike loaded up. I also hadn't loaded the camping gear yet. Tent and backpack.

"It's a friggin' Buell, it's not supposed to be comfortable, quiet or safe. The wind noise is supposed to hurt your ears, the seat should be hard and riding it should make you $hit your pants every now and then. It's a fricking motorcycle, suck it up!"

Thats awsome. Too bad it makes the bike look smaller than it really is. I always get that comment. "Damn thats such a small bike"

Well i will post some pics tomorrow of my cityx made 810 with a ton fuel stops . From west michigan to South carolina. 860 on the way home 3 trips through the Dragon. Was the best vaction ever :)
I did have a 3 hour break when a tornado touched down while i was waiting out the heavy rain in kentucky took about 20 hours and 22 with the mountain passes and Dragon run coming home

Damn I never would have thought Buellers would double their Bikes as a trailer.

Some of you carry more gear on your bikes than I can fit in the back of my truck.
