Why did you buy a Buell?

This was my 1st street bike and I wanted a bike that was easy to ride and didn't have too much power. It also wanted something that handled well.

I liked the looks

I liked the sound

Buell allows you into the HOG club and gets a decnet amount of respect from the harley guys.

They are unique.

No doubt It was love at first sight, absolute sex on wheels. If a designer could pick my brain and design a custom bike to fit my taste and form, it would be the Buell Lightning XB12Scg. It felt like a glove... I have ridden many different bikes including sport, cruisers and other Similar Nakeds, but non of these came close to the Lightning. It handles and rides amazing. The sound is like no other, the comfort is most desirable and attitude is violent. I love my R1 but cannot wait to purchase my next bike. The Buell Lightning XB12Scg.

Oh and they make you feel cooler.

I'm an aussie and they arn't that frequent here (mostly due the the dickheads that try and sell em ) but shit i have an XB12SS and i think these bikes are more fun than drawing on ya mates arms and betting him he won't get it tattooed in hmmmmm do i drink too much!!

Buy one because it's DAMN fun. The bike just loves to turn, has power EVERYWHERE. The lightnings are SO much more fun that my buddie's gixxers, Zx-6R's etc. They're just a blast, i can't even explain what it's like to ride one besides love.

Well after I learned to ride my friend had two bikes...... One was his Ducati 998 and the other was a customised Triumph Thruxton. Lucky me he let me ride them both that summer before I bought the Lightning. I fell in love with the twins and wanted to make my own statement. The Buell was perfect. twin with loads of torque that said I'm not like the 500 other GSXr's riding around town......

I wasn't the strongest rider ever, but the Buell's handling proved true. i rode it non stop and loved every minute........... I feel confident today hittin the twisties in the Rocky mountains.......

Becouse it has personality. It carves corners and does not sound like a sewing machine. It is not perfect and that is what I love about it, you can feel it while riding!
