Hi Chaps, I've developed a fault on the front O2 sensor and need to replace it.. I have considered replacing them with wide band units. I am running with a Termignoni 3/4 pipe and an ebr race ecm..
Does anyone have any experience with using wide band sensors on a EBR ECM..
any remarks would be appreciated.. ;)

Temporary bag/tape job to keep it dry.

That said, I've been running widebands on my 1125 for 4 years now. I have a couple of different ecm's, both stock with a race calibration and full race ecm. I haven't hooked up the wideband output to the ecm, only narrowband, but I can still watch what it's doing with the display unit. The O2 sensors are Bosch LSU 4.2 units, they've held up just fine. I installed these when it was still running on the stock ecm with no race flash, it was a tad lean.

One thing I would like to point out is, this setup is NOT cheap. $550-600 as I recall. If it's just a bad sensor and you need to get back on the road, buy a new stock sensor, they're only $40-50 I think. If you're going to be testing a lot of different exhaust systems or building them, then it might be worth the coin. That was the only way I was able to justify buying them.

I thot all you needed was a WB controller for the O2 sensors, do they have a NB output from the controller for our ECMs?

Thanks guys,
I don't require the extra kit, so i'll stick with the stock units.
I thought is might give an advantage when under acceleration, being able to track over a wider range, but it seems to me that it may be better to ease off on the throttle multiplier under acceleration mode. I am looking at getting the Twin Motorcycles velocity stacks. Will be taking the bike to Holeshot racing in Northern Ireland (one of Britains top tuning specialists) for tuning on the dyno... When its done, I'll post the results..
But does anyone have a base map for an 08 1125r with a termignoni 3/4 race pipe with DB eater installed..

Ha!! the die is set!
ordered two new O2 sensors, and a pair of velocity stacks from Twin Motorcycles in the Netherlands (makers of the torque hammer exhaust)..
Will fit the O2 sensors, and new iridium spark plugs, load the HMF map into the ecu, and its a nice little 3-4 hour ride to Holeshot Racing. Once it is on the dyno I'll install the velocity stacks and let the guys at Holeshot, work their magic on the timing and fuel maps..
It should be well settled by the time I get back..I'm expecting some healthy figures, even with the DB eater installed..
By the way!! it seems to me that the throttle multiplier in acceleration mode on a lot of these maps, is a little suspect.. +125% would put you immediately outside the range of the O2 sensors.. (+-20%) or is old age stuffin' with my maths..
