Will 08 engine fit in 04 frame ?

Recently bought a wadded up 08 xb12r and was wondering if I could put the engine in my 04 xb12r. I know the factory made frame and other changes in 08 such as plumbing and swing arm. but unsure about clearance issues and or electrical issues . any help is appreciated .

Probably will need to swap the harness/ecu along with the 08 motor/trans, but that should be pretty easy.

I put an 07 motor in my 04, but that was a bit easier because they actually share the same wiring and ECU

Yep, you need a good chunk of parts to do it tho. It is direct bolt in but the entire "supporting cast" has to change.
