I'm selling a stock seat for a 2010 XB9SX CityX. Apparently it only fits 2008, 2009, and 2010 XB9SX. I heard it won't fit 2007 and earlier but I want to confirm. I've got some people asking me this question on eBay. Does anyone know for sure? Thanks.

Didn't Buell change the shape of how round it was in the back of the seat? I understood that was the difference for the XB9SX seats in 2008+. It was either more pointy in back or more rounded.

I just found the answer I was looking for so I thought I would post some pics in case someone searches for this in the future.

Yes the seat works for 2003 - 2010. The rounded shape didn't change in the later years. The pics show the new 2010 seat on a 2003 XB9. You can see the 2003 seat on the ground. The shape of the seat where you sit down did change in 2008, but the seat works on earlier models.

The only problem we ran into is the fusebox cover was too tall. It prevented the seat from sitting flush with the frame. When we removed the cover it fit perfectly as you see in the photos.

The last photo shows the different seat choices. This one is an M0090.1AC. It's not a low seat or a high seat. It's an exact replacement for the factory seat that came with my 2010 XB9SX.

After I sold it, I called him back and asked about the seat height. He said it was about 1 1/2" or 2" lower than the seat he had on there, measuring them both on a table. He is pretty sure the seat he had on there was a stock seat for a 2003 XB9.
