Need a new gauge cluster and found one on ebay that is pretty close to my mileage. I figured that the gauge from a 2007 XB12R would fit right into my plug and mounts for my 2009 XB12Scg but wanted to make sure...

is their any differences?

Don't see why it wouldn't work.

Financially, it wouldn't make sense for Buell to make so many different gages just different plates.

thats what I was thinking

I found 2 gauges, one off a 2007 XB12r and another of on 08 XB9s

I would think either would work on my 09 Scg but was hoping someone could confirm this for sure

Sorry can't give you an absolute. But im sure someone will chime in. If not if the price is right just get one of them.[smirk][up]

does any one no if the tach and speedo off a 1125r will work on an 04 -06 xb12r? there cheaper than the one for the 06+ xb12r

I think I saw something on here about the 9 & 12 are calibrated differently. Is you gauge shot or is it just the case?

all xb before and after 2006 share the same transmission. transmission changed in 2006, and so did speedos.

Her Firebolt was hit head on. I bought a gauge cluster off ebay and swapped her guts into its housing. Then I didnt have to worry about it. That's why I ask.

I have an 07 XB9 with an 08 XB12 engine and wiring harness plugged into the 07 gauges. No problems. Not sure if there were any changes in 09, but don't think so.

Ozzie - Yes there are differences?...or yes it will work? I know there were a lot of changes made in 08, but thought 08-10 were pretty much unchanged.

I have an'03 , '06 & my stock '08 cluster and have tried all of them on my bike('08 xb9sx) All of them worked w/. no problem. Only diff. I can tell is the redline mark on the 12 faceplate is 500rpm lower.

im puttin an 07 speedo on my 06 engine on an 04 frame. going to pick it up monday. thanks craigslist.
