Will drill hurt?

I'm close!!! I almost have the CR headlight on my lightning but I have one problem. On the bottom of the light, there are two points or nipples that are supposed to sit in the bottom triple. Another forum mentioned getting the triples off the CR to make mounting the light easier but there was a question on the CR forks being bigger.

My question is, will it hurt anything on the bike to drill the two holes in the triple?

Include a pic and description of where you wish to drill the holes, diameter of the holes and its depth.

If I remember correctly from reading this on another forum you have to drill the holes between each fork tube not directly on the ring that holds the fork tube. If that is the case, as long as the holes are drilled and tapped evenly there should be no issues.

After digging a little deeper into this topic I see that there is no need for a tap just the slots for the nipples to slip in (I said nipples...hehe). I don't see any major issues as long as both holes are drilled evenly and to the correct depth without going to deep.
