So don't start flaming me for this. I purchased one of these real cheap yesterday. I want to put it on my 08 Uly. I have a big trip coming up and I am looking for ideas to mount since the Uly doesn't have the normal frame tubes that these mounted to orignaly.

And I think it will look like this in the end

interested so see more pics of that when you get it mounted

as well as those brackets for the passenger pegs:D

How much does that monster weigh, I would be worried about my forks, and I hope you are well practiced at controlling stoppies, your butt end is going to be scary light, looks like 80% of the mass of that thing is in front of the front axle

It looks good, my brother had one of them on his 86 suzuki 850, I hope it works out "safely" for you

That is one thing I had never and i mean never ever thought I would see on a buell:D good luck and keep us posted.

That poor Uly... What did it do to deserve this? :D

Seriously, though, it is just so incongruous with the bike. It just seems totally wrong. There are many great ingenious "bigger screen on a Uly" ideas that don't involve a Windjammer. I know they work great on old Honda's and such, and they sold a ton of them, but I can't see it working without some serious mods to your Uly (pulling the headlight assembly off, making a bracket coming off the headlight mount, etc). Not impossible...

I have it mounted to the y tubing of the engine mount. And I am going to tie in to the Steering head on the two bolts there also.
My Uly likes being different. She is my daily transportation for everything. We have been on several big trips, so she is use to it.
I expect her to handle the Windjammer as well as all the bikes in the 70's did. And the Bmw's and Connies today. I hope to have her up and running tomorrow.

Throw a rattle can paint job on it, and it will look like it was integral to the bike :D

especially if you paint it the same color as the frame. They sure had some awful color combinations in the 70's and 80's :)

It isn't right. And FIREFIGHTER100 is not "right" for doing this modification. It wasn't right for him to subject us all to this foul molestation of a fine mototrbike. We are all now 100 times dumber for having seen this thread.
May God have mercy on our souls :D
