Windshield removal?

To be more specific, what's the trick for removing the windshield from the flyscreen? Do you just pull them apart?

Got 4 screws or bolts holding windshield to flyscreen. If it's nuts and bolts, remove flyscreen first (6 screws).

in my experience - if it's a short XB12X screen you just 'yank it off', but the tall XB12XT screen has two bolts on the bottom and 'yanking off' won't do it

My 08 has 4 bolts that go into captive nuts in the rubber grommets, as you tighten the rubber expands. At around 110 mph mine decided to give out and pull through, I cut the rubber and installed 6 mm nuts with captive washers, problem solved.

Yep...mine is an XT...put Madstad brackets on the flyscreen with 4 bolts...am using original windshield temporarily until I get around to purchasing the taller madstad windshield.
