I have a cut in my negative wire exposing it and need to remove from the plastic harness (light harness)in order to repair. Ive tried using small screwdriver kit, a small nail and followed youtube video on how to do it. I slide it down as far it can go and put pressure downwards on the screwdriver so the tip of tool angles up and tried wigglin the wire and pin to pull out.I have no luck and know if I keep going at it Ill ruin the connection or mess up the plastic harness. Is their a specific tool to do the job right? Seems simple but its not going smoothly for me.

The harness for the headlights, sorry for not stating that.

Thats a better detailed pic lol. Thanks for the feedback, it gave me a better understanding of how that pin works. I had a pretty decent idea how to do it but no luck. It says pick tool so is there actually one to be purchased or is that same concept as using small glasses screw driver or nail?

GOT IT!!! thank you sooo much. What i was doing was applying pressure upwards on the plastic piece and pin causing it to be locked in. I thought I was applying pressure to the pin itself collapsing it like a molex for a power supply on a pc. I studied it a bit longer and noticed the plastic piece was to be picked downwards to release the pin. Thank you so much Jake and
