was riding my 06 blast today i swiched the gas to the reserve and it stalled on me it will start but when you give it any gas it dies.

Not to be smart a$$ but is there fuel in the tank. Start at the simple stuff first.[cool]

What exactly is it doing when you tried to start it. Explain in detail because it will give us more info to help you diagnose the problem.[cool]

it will start but when i give it just a little gas it revs good for about 15 seconds and then it bogs down and dies but it does idle just fine. all i did was swich to the reserve when i was going down the hwy it picked up and then just stalled out after that but it would start

Check the Valve you are switching from front to rear. put some fuel in it and Try not to run it on the Reserve area very much due to it wears out easily. What year is your bike? and check for the gas line for debree and make sure the fuel is sufficently coming out through and to the area it is supposed to. Lack of fuel means it may? Idle or not but most likely if Throttle is Applied it will sputter or stalll to lack of! Sometimes the filter will clog OR the Lever the (Valve) the trash or O'ring will chip off inside and clog the Jet on a Carbed model.Post up on which model bike you have & the year! Good Luck.*Jimi

no i even took the tank off and tilted it so the gas was on the other side of the tank and same thing was still happening

It is not a carburater issue I doubt. You are having some spark issues. Pull off plastic cover over ignition module, check and see if LED light flashes. If it still flashes when the bike dies, your problem is distal to the module. I.E. coil or plug/ wire.

but you have put gas in and tried it with a full tank?

Just make the old guys happy, we've seen this too many times.

Das boot.

You must rule out the carb before even thinking about anything else. Replace, and start saving for Dan's superboot.
