Alright. Well i'm actually pretty proud of this mod because there were a few nay sayers about weather or not this could be done at all. Starting with the flexiglass inners and my radiator off the bike i dremeled out a hole for the fan to fit through leaving the fan mounting brackets over hanging. to make the fan sit flush with the radiator i laid the assy down radiator first and position it where it needed to be and used zip ties to hold it in place. Then just measured out some nylon spaceers for under the fan brackets to hold it in that position. and presto simple but effective. some foam stripping around the fane to help seal the air and its done.

I use Flickr to host my pics. They scale them down to smaller sizes automatically. Getting the links for them is a little bit of a pain though. I'm sure there are other websites out there that will host your pics and scale them down for you.

Its coming along guys as i said i never remember to take pics.
ive been fixing small things while waiting for paychecks to get my sub frame and rear seat BS

new header wrap
painted barkers exhaust(hi temp gloss black)
hidden swing arm and frame lighting
1.5 inch slip of the front forks
as seen above successfully modded flexiglass ram air fairing to accept fans.
Here shortly ill have everything together enough to start it up let it cook the new paint and header wrap slowly. And see if my led strips will survive where they are. One only has about 3 inches clearance from the header.

Got a friend that has a pretty awesome idea for my nose fairing. I'll share it if it comes out well.

Dude, really? "Worst day ever"?

Bikes are replaceable. Brothers aren't. Thanks for your service, but as someone who's probably seen more people get blown up or shot, I would have thought you'd go easy on the drama. I thought you were going to say that your brother took out your bike and then was hit by a drunk driver or something.

Sorry Its been awhile. scraping up the money for replacement parts has been difficult. But some good news. I have a new frame already installed along with some neat accent lighting. I put all the flexiglass track fairings on with the inner pods modded to accept the stock fans. When siting at idle the bike stays cooler than stock. Part of that may be due to the Engine Ice Coolant as well. Now where i mounted the fans takes up about 40% of the space the flexiglass fairings use for Ram air. Once its together the final test comes at making sure the bike stays cool at speed. The subframe and undertail plastic are arriving today. The old plastics look like hell but i'll propbaly sand them down and go primer black to ride through the season till paint. The only big purchase left on the chopping block is a replacement for my XB Light with shaded lens. Almost back to where it was before the accident. After that i set my eyes on the 2 - 3 thousand dollars of things i "want" to do.

what fan is that and is there a wright up on here for the mod? New to the 1125 and would love to keep it cooler.

How is it going crewdawg. Sorry I missed you I think I PCS'd about the time you were getting back home. Hope you get your bike back together fast like!

Stensg- Its a mod for those with flexiglass ram air style fairing. The fairings dont run fans at all but supply mass ammounts of ram air at speed. Keeping the bike cooler on a track but on the street it overheats sitting still in under 2 mins. I was so in love with the way the flexiglass fairing looked i dremeled out a hole in the inner fairing of the flexiglass kit. I didnt make a right up but if your really interested and invested in the 1500 dollar fairing kit lol ill take some pics and what not.

Spud- No i havent gotten a R1 rim yet just trying to get it rolling first. Might need help in a couple weeks read on and youll see why

jakestoler- I know man i linked up with spud and was wondering where you ended up. But congrats on getting away from Campbell.

Ok so a lil back story firt. the bike together and running with the exception of the subframe. Eveerything work and i let the bike run for 20 mins plus on several ocasions just hooking up the battery and wires that go in the tail and resting them on the tire. I got the subframe and was putting everything together. Had a brain fart and tried hooking the battery up backwards (pos to neg neg to pos. Obviously it didnt take long to see my mistake the batt fuse popped and i cursed myself. Now everything is together but the fuel pump isnt working. it just makes a deep grinding noise there no whistle of fuel primeing and the fuel line is dry. (yes theres gas in it lol )
looking at fuses i dont see how my batt mishap could have caused the fuel pump to shit. i mean the fuse did its job. Fuel system error comes up on the tach when i try to start. Used a voltmeter and all the wires to the pump have power with the except of the ground obviously. Everything seems to point to the pump being shit. SO two questions. Is there anything else it can be something i can try. And if not and im buying a pump is there a "upgrade" i can try to get or is stock replacement the only option.
So close yet so far. going out off town for a couple weeks but when i get back this is priority 1

Shes running!!!!! Rode her about a hundred miles since the rebuild and only a couple small issues to work out.
Chain drive is making a bad bearing humm/whine that im pretty sure is just the idler pulley. And im inexperience in making sure the chain and tires are in alignment. And lastly my fabricated fans for the track fairings keep the bike running at about 185 in 95 degree weather. but at speed 60mph and 3-4 grand rpm it stays constant at about 210-215 degrees. gotta figure something out there Try to get it below 200 Already running engine ice. dont know what else to do.
