Would a FZ1 be too fast for me?

No vehicle, regardless of displacement, will ever go any faster than your throttle input commands.

It's really just that simple.

A scooter can dp 70mph and you can easily kill yourself on it and a boss hoss with a chevy 350 can cruise at 15mph safely. Just depends what the rider does.

Looks like I'm sticking with the Buell.

I tuned it up all nice, and it's leaving nothing to be desired now. It's become a damn monster after the retune, and all the added power is in the mid-rpm range so highway power seems ample now, too.

The tune, coupled with the cold weather coming in, and I can't keep the front wheel down. Good enough for me. No need to add the temptation to lose my license above 80mph.
