thanks...yeap, proud of him getting it started. he's been working the bugs out since installation in his garage at home. don't think he's made anything yet that I know off since speaking with him on Saturday, I'll give him a call tomorrow.

I have a spare drive and rear sprocket that he'll get for dimensions, as well as a idler pulley. he plans on a new design for all, next rear sets, foot pegs, upper triples, and heel guards, both for the xb's and blast models.

back to the mock up, the ecm mounting portion of the battery tray will be cut off and riveted to sheet metal as well as the seat latch bracket that the bank angle sensor and fuse box share. thinking of going with the set up of the last picture posted since it's the cleanest set up and still have room for the tool kit.

S model battery tray arrived today and the seat latch bracket for the fuse box will be here on Friday. will put those aside for a bit and finish prep on the swing arm and frame for paint this weekend. once those pieces are complete, I'll jump back on the R frame and wrap that up by Monday or Tuesday. next weekend may pull the fuel pump and replace both filters and repair the wires if need be. already have everything needed parts wise, but may need fab up a puller to get the pump out.

got home yesterday after work and couldn't put the battery tray down, much less that part of the project. the tray cost 30 bucks shipped from ebay and the seat latch bracket for 10 bucks shipped also from ebay. anyway, the battery tray under went surgery...as well as the frame, the battery strap/emissions canister mount was partially removed to allow the bracket to fit. the fuse box will more than likely be installed next to the battery, thus allowing the trunk to be used as normal.

Lol, nah that one is good, had a hiccup or two but, all fine and dandy now. I'm talking needs repair under $2000 bike, modify it the way I want to have some fun with it, while I have my current bike for commuting and longer rides.

thanks, hopefully the seat latch bracket shows up today, then I can finish it up tonight and get back on the swing arm and frame.
the mount bracket for fluid reservoir will be cut off as well to make more room for the fuse box. installed clip on pass through/hole protection "sping fast" like a grommet onto the frame at the upper battery rack for the harness protection. will do the same on the lower frame plastic/seat pan where the harness enters the rear frame.

no seat latch bracket[sad]

on that note, going to finish the frame, swing arm and front fairing today in order to focus on the tail section mock up. will post pics later today of the finished parts. off to the garage I go....

swing arm is complete, need to wet sand the fairing a bit more, then repaint and the frame needed lots more sanding and very little body filler for the minor dent less than 1/8" deep. post finish pics of those when they are done.

frame is finished, taped of the fuel openings and covered the threads on everything. used transparent cling tape on the VIN and company stickers to protect from the paint. works awesome:D

will work the fairing later this afternoon and get her done:p

thanks, didn't get back on the fairing like planned, maybe tomorrow after work. all the hard work is done on the major parts and glad, my fingers and hands hurt from all the freaking sanding. but, still gotta do some more on the fairing. need to check the tracking of the seat latch and turn signals, then get those installed. dunno when the tail will be installed since the bike is all back together and looking pretty dang good so far.

thanks, didn't do anything today with it, been busy with family stuff. did get the seat latch bracket installed for the fuse box yesterday. need to make a mounting plate for the ecm bracket which will have to go in the trunk area after all. slight modification was needed of the trunk for the bracket to fit properly. I'll post pics in the next day or two.
