A feature to go back and recall your ride would be nice.
Say you get back from a ride, and want to review all the info from your ride while safety stopped would be nice.

Count me in.

As an experienced business man I would caution you to NOT release a product with glitches and/or bugs. Find some anal retentive pain-in-the-ass friends/co-worker/relatives/Bell XB riders/ to invest a lot of time and a little money into the prototypes in exchange for a final product.

Those that believe will gladly help with costs and time to get the best out there.

Put me in the anal retentive pain in the ass category wh is all over this.

Yea I would be all over it. My Audi tt has a gyro that you can read with vagcom that would be a good base to check out. Its small too but 2 different sensors that are a bitch to get to

I think your low balling yourself. $100 in parts with more to possibly buy..
Say you go $150 in parts. Now what's the labor time to build? Now add all the time spent answering questions and emails, tech support for anyone who is having issues, packing and shipping, taxes (if you go that route), paypal fees, inventory and supplies orders.

With my tail lights I never thought about the above until I'd already put the price out there. I know they are expensive, but if I started again I would have charged more. I never thought of everything that is involved with it all. The labor itself to build the light is one thing. Add everything else and it's eye opening. Ive had a couple small price increases over the years, but that's mainly due to various circuitry price increases. My big saving grace was I bought about 30,000 lumileds LEDs at wholesale for pretty cheap a few years back.

couple an accelerometer with a gyroscopic sensor.
Already got it ;) So no worries.

As far as parts right now i should be able to cut it down alot more (price) with final builds. Lets just say price is TBD, tell me what you WOULD pay for something like this.

Would you be ok with the first gen having a usb plug to load info onto it (might be hard for me to code) or maybe just a screen to display the info? Over the years i upgrade the code and products (I.E bluetooth etc.)

Both :D

The auto cancels are a definite[up]. The lean angle sensor etc. would be cool but i wouldnt prolly buy one (too much money for me for a sort of novelty item) it would be really bad A$$ if it also had GPS speed, direction etc. and was a Heads up display in ur helmet. Far fetched and even more expensive, but it'd really cool.

I will def keep you guys posted about all this. Looks like i have enough interest to get things done. :)
