I just finished looking through most of the Buell member pics and i can't believe i am the only one that has the full fairing kit i love I think it looks great oh well to each his own i guess

I have another question i want to hang my helmet out of the back "trunk" the last owner of my bike removed the trunk does that have something to do with it???????

your toolkit came with a helmet hanger (the cable thing), but it wouldnt be of use if the PO removed the trunk.

There is a guy on ebay who sells the helmet hooks for the Firebolts. if I remember right its about $15.

here are some photos you won't see on here I am getting it painted monday and airbrushed thursday i will post pics when done

so is it a total pain in the arse to do an oil change? from what i can see, that fairing would have to come off or at least move to allow you to get to the filter. i have inquired about that kit and was just curious as to how you do it.

Yes to do an oil change the fairings would have to come off. That is normal with every jap bike out there though so it is what people are already used to.

I like the look and I am looking forward to seeing it painted a new color because that design I haven't liked since you bought the bike.

i already picked out the color its a metallic blue and my cousin does airbrushing so he is going to paint it before they clear coat it the picture he is gonna do is something to this effect

I like the naked look of my bike, I wouldnt put the fairing kit on. But it does look good, Im really suprised it hugs the front wheel in such a hyabusa way. But ya once you get some fresh pain it'll turn some heads. Where are you located btw? Iv been looking for a good Airbrusher for my new helmet.

I think the full fairings look sick on the Buells. I can't wait to get mines! Did you do the install yourself? [up][cool]

what color r u painting it. i like the look of the full fairing a lot. i just dont like the camo/leaf paintjob on it now.

It is a dark mettalic blue now it has been a long and painfull process due to this lovely illinois weather I am finaly going to clearcoat it just in time to store it lucky me. My cousin finished the airbrushing today I can't wait to see it. I will post pics as soon as I get them

I think the reason most XB riders don't run full faring is that we decided to go with the semi-naked look, and that it isn't exactly a "factory" option. :)

That said, it is pretty cool to go non-standard with an already non-standard bike...looking forward to some pics of the new paint.

On a side note, I have always wondered if the full faring changes the XB's ability to cool (cuts airflow, etc.). Have you run into any issues with that faring?

dude i saw the sx1 that one the bike show in 2000 homecoming it was sweet i dont care for full ferring cause it makes it that much harder to take the bike a part i take mine apart just to make sure it is all good
