Coming back from seattle yesterday, seen a guy on the shoulder of I-5. Stopped to check on him, all was good he was just changing his plugs. But we got to riding together for a bit him on a Aprilla RSV 1000R me on my 08 XB12R. The freeway was almost completly clear and we ate the asphalt up, pushing 115+ for a good 30-45 mins. And wow was his bike fast! I would be going 110+ and he would blow by me like I was standing still. I have to say I was pretty impressed by the sound and performence of that RSV. Then im coming over Blewett Pass (Crosses the Cascade mountains) and my helmet was CAKED with bugs, I even had a damn bat bounce off the side of my helmet(poor guy). But ya on the Aprilla note...all I have to say is "wow"

If im not mistaken...a similar motor to the Aprilla is being used on the 1125R. [up] (it might be the same, im just too lazy to search right now so someone chime in :D:D:D )

Maybe a mix? I mean, it didnt hold a candle to the sound of my Firebolt with a stock exhaust but...It definetly didnt sound like it ran on rice[up] Too much chrome tho, he had both wheels chromed, duel alluminum exhaust, full fairing set.

Figures, had to be something wrong with it, but as long as it sounded good...I'll still take my 9s even to your 12r...

why do gixxer/cbr/yama R1/6 keep asking me if my bike is a 600?...

Own the Corners? With a 1200cc liquid cooled OHV 4 valve per head v-4 we could own the whole f*cking planet!

Seen that on another forum,, and Its pretty amazing if I might say...

60 degree vtwin 143 hp umm 101nm torque which is...right around 78-80ft/lb torque, it has a 6spd tranny, I'm going to guess that it will hang with the 1125 but get edged out in the end..

your 12r has more power everywhere below 7000rpm, your bike is just as fast roll on wise, just lacks the top end where he makes his big hp numbers. Nice bikes though!

What about my 9S? Oh, and once again...why do why do gixxer/cbr/yama R1/6 keep asking me if my bike is a 600/why I ride a 600?....

I get that too sometimes (from folks who really don't know bikes) - I think it has to do with the physical size of our XBs. For some obscure reason, folks seem to think (physically) bigger bikes are better (hence the 'busa).

I guess it's kind of like the GSXR-750 - folks who don't know think the 1000 is the only way to go, when those who actually ride love (or at least respect) the 750.
