Wrecked 04 xb12r

So i found a 04 xb12r that is wrecked. I havn't seen any pics yet but according to the description the whole front end needs to be replaced. I think the guy is wanting around 1500 for it. I have some extra money lying around from selling my tuber. Would this be worth the investment?

You could get what you need out of it and still come out good. As long as there is enough good parts, it sounds well worth it.

I think it still sounds like a good deal. Depending on the miles you could be good to go for $2000-2500. Where do you live? I saw these forks on craigslist in ohio to get you started.

What's the condition of the Frame/Fuel tank? Engine/Tranny value depends on mileage.

Hey I just completed a rebuild of a wrecked XB12R I had to replace many parts like the front axle, upper stay, lower engine mount,headlights,subframe, and it was worth every minute and penny spent and my VIN is clear, entire investment including bike was about $1500 because I got the bike in a trade. And even now I'm still working on my bike to tweak it just right. But $1500 sounds like its worth it to me.

Cool thanks for the input guys! I was thinking it was worth it too. I'm going to look at the bike today and if it runs and the tank isn't too damaged i think im going to jump on it. I live in CO but thanks for the craigslist post.

I think that is a sweet deal for a builder or donor. I would buy it just to have for a donor, even if the frame were tweaked. How did it look?

I went down there with cash to buy it. It was a 2 hour drive and when i got there it was a lot worse off then he had described[mad] the bike was crap the whole front was trashed, the frame had a huge dent, and i would have bought it just for the engine but the primary case had a huge crack in it from whatever the hell he hit. That sob wasted my whole mourning lol
