Topic says it all. I want to do an Scg to S conversion on my bike (I have an '07 XB12Scg). I need a good set of '05+ front forks from an XB9R, XB12R, XB12S, or XB9S. I also want a rear monoshock with the blue spring and the kickstand for the normal height bike. I'm sure someone out there did an S to Scg swap and has these parts sitting around collecting dust. Turn those parts into some cash, save some storage space, and help a fellow bueller out.

I'll have the fork tubes available in a month or two if your not in a hurry. I just got a set of black fork tubes and wont need my current ones. My bike is an 2006 XB9SX, 2100 miles on it. One fork tube has some scratches and has a leaking seal, the other is perfect. Personally I'd replace the seals in any used fork you get since it'll be off and serviceable. Can't help you on the rear shock or stand. Let me know if your interested.

you will also need a lower triple tree if you are using 05+ forks

all low models have 41mm forks and '05+ bikes have 43mm forks so the lower exterior dimensions are not the same

'03 and '04 forks will not require a lower triple tree

Really, I thought it was the other way around. Guess I made a mistake there. In that case is there any way to edit the title of a post?

Yeah, I just looked it up on buell's website. At least the 2010 has the 41mm, I don't see why they would have changed back to the 41mm from the 43mm over the years. Does the wider diameter even do anything for you?

I just put an offer out on an ebay auction for some '04 XB12R forks, so if I get those I'm not going to need the front forks. However, I'm still in need of the rear blue monoshock and a kick stand.

opens up spring and cartage options a bit, as well as slightly smoother damping.
strength should have also gone up a bit, but I cant quantify it.

I'd be interested in a swap....

I have an 03 XB9S, the suspension should swap right over if I recall correctly.

24K on the bike, forks rebuilt by a Buell pro about 2500 miles ago.

Let me know your thoughts...

I wanted to shy away from a swap so I could always change back if I didn't like it (don't see why I wouldn't I'm 5'11" so it should be fine). Any way, if I were to do a swap I'd want to wait until the riding season in new england is over (late December for me). Also, I just put out that best offer on ebay for forks, so if they accept that I'm stuck down that path. I'll send a message if the situation changes, I should know Monday or Tuesday if I got those forks.

Well, I just got the email that my offer was accepted on those forks from ebay, so a swap no longer an option for me. Damn my impulsiveness [mad]. Sorry about that rah77777777.

Just FYI, I found all the parts on ebay so I will not be needing anything else. I might be willing to sell the Scg suspension setup after I'm sure I want to stick with the S.

Where you at in New England? I'm up in Maine and would be interested in your low suspension if it ends up behing for sale. Even if not, if your close let me know we can hook up for a ride I need to find more Buell riders up here. Take care, -Arthur-
