WTB 1200cc motor, complete.

I sold my XB12R because I couldn't bare to cut up a nice bike. But I need a motor for my project, so I am looking for a complete (or as complete as I can get) 1200cc motor. XB or not, just a 1200 is all I need.

$1500 or so for the right motor seems like a fair price? If anyone is parting out a bike and has a motor, let me know.

Buellsterparts.com has two complete xb12 engines. They're a little out of your price range though.

Cool, thanks. I will keep an eye on that auction. Only problem is once I get it shipped, I will be in the $2200 range at least.

Well, something along the lines of this frame:

I was going to use the Buell front and wheels with a custom frame not far off from this one, but as soon as I found the right person to build the frame, I had cash for my bike.

Go figure. My bike was up for sale for 2 months without so much as a few email tire kickers. The SAME DAY I fond a builder and send plans, I have someone come by and give me a deposit.

So since the bike is sold, I will likely stay more custom and just roll the Buell motor with FI.
