If someone happens to be parting out a newer Lightning, I'd love to pick up the headlight module with the accessory power socket from the factory. Not sure if I want to pay out the wazoo for a new one from a dealer, so just throwing this out there to see what happens.

Anyone have any pics of mounted acc plugs on a lightning? I just picked one up off a totaled uly and plan on doing something like the pic attached.

Ulysses has them, if you can find those modules. They fit right on the lightning triples and gives you a windshield option.
I run it on a 9sx with stock 12v socket in the dash

If I come across a stock module with the hole I'll jump on it, but in the meantime I'm drilling a hole in the stock module and adding the socket. I ordered the factory socket and pigtail from ASB, but I can only use the pigtail - the socket is notched (for orientation), so it wouldn't be as simple as just drilling a circular hole. I'm picking up a HD socket and connecting it to the factory pigtail so that it will all connect seamlessly. I can always change later if I find a good deal on parts.

I'll hopefully have it done this week.

In case anyone looks at this thread later on, I misunderstood how the accessory power socket worked.

Originally, I thought this was a stock placement:

It isn't - that is an aftermarket low profile socket made my Powerlet that has been mounted into the side of the headlight module.

This is the Ulysses stock setup, showing the accessory socket:

That one would require changing out more parts.

I ordered the Powerlet low profile socket (about $50) and will be mounting it just like the first picture. Then I plan to make a bracket that will utilize the stock mirror mount threaded hole to mount either a dedicated gps or my cellphone. I'll be making a new thread for that project.
