My low beam light went out Wednesday. When I pulled the headlight assembly off to swap out the bulb... I noticed this. Any idea what this is for and what bulb goes in there???

The bike is an '03 XB9S.

puzzling when you see it, isn't it?
it is common headlight bezel and common wiring loom used for both US and Euro spec XB's
a small bulb would go in that white plug, plug into back of bezel, and be illuminated for daylight running to satisfy the Euro trash safety nazis. just plug it back in empty and fuhgitaboutit

comes on when the key switch is turned to "P", headlight position marker supposedly for the European models only according to the manual

Mine was causing the fuse for the instrument panel and signals to blow. Took a while to find the culprit but it ohmed out to ground where it should not! I cut the dam thing off and put butt connection on the ends. What a pain to find but was cool finding it on my own
