Hi, I recently purchased a 2003 GSX-R 1000. And for where I live, it's really too much bike. I have always like the XB12s, and would consider trading with someone for a bike of similar value.
Bike is pretty much like new, unmolested, never down, adult ridden, 3900 original miles, switched to synthetic at 1000 miles. Has some aftermarket parts, but have all of the original ones. You'll notice the one fairing bolt is missing. Just misplaced it. I actually installed a red anodized probolt kit on the bike today, so they're all replaced. All manuals, dealer repair book, and matching gsxr helmet in XL. Bike is located in NE PA in Bloomsburg. email@ [email protected]

Your going to have a hard time getting someone to give up their Buell for a gixxer, nothing wrong with the bike,I raced the same year and cc in AFM,it rocks, but it's not a Buell, anyhow, welcome to the forum, sell the the ride on craigslist, and buy a Buell.

Thanks for your input, but I was thinking the same thing. Trade my GSXR for a Buell? Haha. Yes that's what I want to do. Basically directed for the people looking for something else. I'm 38, and the GSXR riding position is for a younger crowd. Current pics.. Any questions, or to come see the bike, call 570-784-4023. Steve Bike is in Bloomsburg PA

Not interested in trading, but that's one clean Gixxer. Its an 03, and looks like it just came off the showroom floor. Good luck.

Hi, I got your message, and have a couple of questions. Is that rash on the pipes? Also, it kinda looks like the tank has had body work done to it. Was it down? Also.. I think i am leaning heavily towards a lightning instead of a bolt. not sure yet. Thanks! Steve

No bodywork, it does have some mild rash on the header....the bike is flat black. Let me know ...

I'm trying to sell one of my Buells, how did you get the pics on here? Your GXSR is in great shape, someone looking for a faster ride will surely trade with you, any help on pics is appreciated!

@ BCooke77, I uploaded to Photobucket first, and then copy and paste the image code here.

@anrkizm95 Very nice bike.. I like the blue. Unfortunately adding any cash is not an option right now. I'm kinda hoping someone with a similar bike, say 05-07, will chime in. If something happens with monies on my end, I will let you know. Thanks for the offer.

Here's my Photobucket folder for the GSXR. Bike currently has 4900 miles, all fluids were just changed. These were taken today. KBB on the bike is like 5100. But with 24k plus miles and no upgrades. I have it advertised for 5500.00

That thing is a museum piece. Did it sleep with you in the house?

It really looks like it's right out of the crate.

Best of luck to you in the trade.

Haha, thanks Levi! It is pretty immaculate. The previous owner bought it brand new, and I think it scared him. He kept it in the garage under a cover, he only put 3100 miles on it in 8 years. I bought it in April, rode it long enough to decide it's too much bike for my area. I live in a rural, kinda country town, where there are no roads with passing lanes.. ;) Unless I hit the Highway.

The GSXR has 162 HP at the crank, and weighs 370lbs dry. Handles the twisties like a dream. Very effortless bike to ride. Being a 1000, it has grunt from about 4500 rpm.

On another note folks, I was just looking at KBB for Buell values. They don't book for much. I guess I should be looking for trade for 06-08. To keep the value similar. Really looking for a XB12S or SS long. Not interested in the CG model, for I am 6" with longer arms.

more and more people want buells but they cant just go to any used bike dealer or open a paper and find one.theres probably a gixxer for sale in every town in america.yours does look to be in awesome condition though

I agree with you, there aren't as many Buells as there are GSXRs out there. But I don't think I'm asking for an unfair trade, as condition is more important to me than age or price. I'm definitely not looking to hose anybody, but in return, I'm not gonna take a beatin on mine. I'm still open to any offers, but if it's older, it had oughta be pretty mint, as mine is.

If you where closer I would try to talk you into my firebolt.........but you arnt. So I will just use my bike as an example. Mine is a 04 XB 12R w/ 12500 miles and looks new. Like mentioned above........ Buell's in newish/excellent condition are getting harder to find. Also KBB/NADA book values mean very little to most bueller's because most of us would rather keep our bikes than to sell it to someone that will abuse it to no end. Im not sure what the value of my bike is, but the lowest I would ever take is $4500 and that's in stock form with no extras.
