I've got a 2009 Firebolt, and I want to trade tails with someone with a Lightning. My bike is black, but I do not care what color your bike is.

We would need to trade the entire section, so I would like someone as close to NC as possible, to keep shipping costs low.

Let me know if you're interested. I would also be down for a full swap, front end and wiring harness, if you have a Lightning and want a Firebolt.

I am stationed at Cherry Point and I have an 07 Lightning. Any pics of your tail? Condition of seats?

(I'm at work, so I can't upload the pics here without the originals on my computer)

I have both the perforated seat that is stock and a smooth seat from an 1125

I will be back late July-early August. If you dont find someone else by then, count me in!

I would so trade the front I have an 09 lightning same color I don't know how hard the swap is though

Yeah, the front is pretty much an all or nothing kind of deal. Because the ECU on the R is up front, you have to get the wiring harness to make it work.

If you're in NC we could do it. I am looking at LSL Superbike bars right now, but an S front would get me what I am looking for, too. If you're not in NC, I don't see a front end swap working. We would have to both ship our triple trees, ECUs, front fairings, rear subframes, and rear body sections. While I have had nothing but good experiences with that so far, I would be afraid to pretty much put my whole bike in a box and ship it in good faith.

Yeah I think that would be more than it's worth. I am only wanting to swap the front but it's probably not worth the hassle

You would probably want to just buy the parts to do the swap. You're not going to find someone with an R that would swap the fronts without the wiring, since it would leave their bikes not working.
