Hi guys. Looking at swapping out XT suspension for X's.

Guy contacted me, but stays few hours away. Good price and I want somebody to go look at it to make sure it's not a scam.

Anybody know what to look out for?
Lengths, markings, part nrs, etc?

Thanx!

Things to look at...
Front forks are 43mm just shorter then the ully and the rear shock will be black... It's pretty cut and dry....

I'm not trying to sway you one way or the other but you could just buy a rear black shock. Then slide the forks in the triple trees..
Ride it around, and if you like it that way have a machine shop turn another groove in the fork tube for the snap ring and call it a day...

XT also has the adjuster, SS will not.

You'll need brake set up & kickstand also

Personally I think XT is worst & X is the best buell but that's me. XT rides like the others where X is very Cadillac like with more travel yet still firm enough to play with.

Just google image it. It's been asked before :)

Thanks guys.

I was hoping for some clear references to get somebody in the area to look at it for me.

I want to get my XT sitting higher, as 2 of my buddies finally got bikes (BMWs), so we'll be doing more off road trips.

No problem.

That idea is on hold for now...external drive with print magazine that needs to into production on Friday crashed big time. At data recovery place, but it is pretty much going to require the suspension budget to pay for the recovery... :(
