Hey gents,

I was just wondering if anybody had attempted to modify a chin fairing/belly pan from an XB to an 1125. I was thinking about trying, but I'm not too sure about how to attack this task. Any pics, tips, or ideas? Thanks!

That's a great idea. In my opinion it would look a lot better with the chin fairing.
I know there is a company in Germany that make them - forgot the name. Also Trojan Horse have Ilmberger CF ones for sale.

That's what I'm thinking. I may buy a muffed chin fairing and mess around with it to see if it will fit. In my opinion, the chin fairings on the XBs make them look so much better!

Maybe you want something like this?

I would use one for a race legal oil catch pan, but I am sure it is not the look you are after.

From the BWB regarding an XB chin fairing on an 1125: "Ok short and sweet, even if you made your own custom brackets to somehow mount it, you will either need to cut it up to clear the oil cooler, or push it forward enough that your rubbing the wheel. It looks like the lower engine/stock muffler area is wider on the 1125 vs the XB, so that will be an issue too unless you got your own custom middle piece."

The best chin fairing I've seen for an 1125, homemade of course:

Wait, I like this one betterer:

HI Guys....
I new here, used to own a firebolt but buying an 1125r soon, I want to put an RT-3 pipe on it, but am wanting to know if anyone has tried to fit a ebr bellypan to one, if so how was it done, i not are there any other bellypans that would fit with an aftermarket exhaust?

Regards
Scott

Not too sure, but with modification I am sure they will fit. You will have to modify or fabricate some brackets, seeing as most if not all belly pans dont have the holes drilled and mounting hardware installed. Do you mean RT-5? I have jardine rt5 carbon exhaust on my 09 1125R and it sounds great. The rt3 is for the XB models, and it will not fit without extensive modification.

Hi Guys,

I've decided on putting a Barkers exhaust on the bike, and just scored a second hand race ecm that came off a 08 with a barkers on it off ebay so pretty happy. I also got hold of a guy who advertised on the rasmoto that makes a chin fairing which comes with all the brackets etc and will make it to fit with a barkers so really happy with that. Will post photos when its all done.

This is probably what he might have been referring to earlier.

Yeah I've fit an aftermarket belly pan with an aftermarket exhaust. Pretty easy to do. Brackets aren't to hard to make. Have mine apart right now changing fluids etc. but I'll post pictures soon
