xb clutch cable lenghts

can someone tell me what a 53" (outer sleeve) 58-1/2 end to end clutch cable is from ?
is this cable from a xb12s...,R...,or a Ulysses ?

I broke the end off and need a new one .[mad]
bike is an xb12r BUT with a xb12s front end ,and also has Ulysses handle bars.

Firebolt clutch cable is 6" shorter than a Lightning's...dunno what the Uly's bar is like compared to a Lightning, so can't help you there. someone will sure chime in that knows

I just read on another post that the lightning cable was about 3 inches longer then the firebolt but don't have any lengths.[confused]

I've done the S to R front end conversion and laid the cables out side by side, 6" difference in lengths of the cables. this is with the Lightning cable installed...don't have a pic that I can find with the Firebolt cable installed.

If you have uly bars then you need a uly clutch cable. End of story. Go search internet for it. The only differences are in the bars.

R bars, s bars or x bars. Motors all mount in same spot, so does the top triple. Only variable you change is the bars. Buell is brilliant in the simplicity of these bikes. Don't overthink them.

Just went out to garage and measured. My lightning cable measured 49 inches and my firebolt measured 46 inches. I imagine the Uly cable is three inches longer and around 52 inches. Measurements maybe slightly off depending on where on the cable sleeve you are measuring. You need a Uly cable.

The cable sleeve length is also affected by where the threaded adjuster is set.

Ok I went back out to get more accurate measurements. Good catch!

Firebolt adjusted all the way in, sleeve tip to tip is 47.5 inches.

Lightning adjusted all the way in, sleeve tip to tip is 50.25 inches. (May be off slightly because cable is on bike)
